The incumbent must possess the skills and knowledge to serve as a Housekeeping Aid Supervisor of the Sanitation Section of Environmental Management Service. The duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the activities and performance of employees to insure tasks are accomplished in an efficient, timely and high-quality manner. Plans weekly and monthly work schedules and establishes deadlines, priorities and the numbers of employees to do the work. Monitors performance standards and initiates formal appraisals of all employees supervised. Assigns projects and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures as required. Instructs employees on the proper use of equipment, chemicals, supplies and methods. Maintains quality/quantity work records for submitting monthly Quality Improvement data. Participates in both formal and on-the-job training of new and regular personnel, and orients new employees. Resolves routine problems with staff officials and keep supervisor informed. Conducts QA inspections of all assigned areas. Recommends and/or initiates appropriate disciplinary actions. Perform Time and Attendance (T&A) duties. Submit reports in accordance with reporting directives. Maintains electronic work reports and records relating to section e.g. progress, production, cost, personnel, equipment, materials, and time and attendance. Tracks and reports progress on work assignments in computer system. Work Schedule:

Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. PHYSICAL EFFORT:
The position requires performance of work which involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; continually standing, bending, stooping and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying waste baskets; frequently pushing carts loaded with waste; and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Also performs work which involves moderate to heavy physical effort, such as required to move heavy equipment and furniture, e.g., heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, heavy duty floor scrubbers and buffers, couches, beds, etc., and lifting, carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 40-50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Usually works indoors in areas which normally have adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Will be exposed to vibration from heavy equipment and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions used in stripping floors, etc., as well as subject to cuts and bruises. Continually exposed to dust, dirt and disagreeable odors, and is frequently exposed to organic material which may be contaminated and/or infectious and require special handling.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
