The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Formulates training outlines and materials, writes lesson plans and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field Ascertains specific needs for training, determines the objective and scope of annual training topics; develops, revises, and/or adapts curriculum to suit staff changing needs and to capitalize on special interests Coordinates new employee orientation programs, as needed Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works Works with Directors to coordinate appropriate time to conduct staff/provider/volunteer training Coordinates with supervisors to develop training plans for employees who require remedial and/or Personal Improvement Plan training Completes other duties as assigned Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule:

Individual Occupational Requirement Possession of an undergraduate or graduate degree in education or a subject related to the position. OR Experience that demonstrates having practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate fields; Supervising or administering a training program; Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devises, etc., and evaluation of training results; Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, the applicant may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience (GS-07):
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of Specialized Experience include (but are not limited to):
1) Meets with representative of customer organizations in order to obtain information to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds 2) Develops or modifies course work 3) Assist in the adaptation or revision of courses, as needed 4) Demonstrates knowledge of VA business processes and community care, program goals and policies 5) Selects/ develops training aids (to include training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works) (GS-09):

You may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have:
(GS-07) 1 full year of graduate level education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or superior academic achievement (GS-09) PH, D or equivalent doctoral degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-07 and GS-09 levels. The applicant's experience will be computed along with the education required for the grade level as a percentage. The two percentages will then be added. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-07 and GS-09 You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note:
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
